Aug 19/05 Save Marc Emery As we all know, the famed marijuana activist known as none other than the “prince of pot” (Marc Emery) is facing extradition from Canada to the United States for distributing marijuana seeds via the internet. But the Canadian government has been aware of Emery’s seed distribution company (Marc Emery Direct) and its activities since 1999 when he first started it. Both the federal and the B.C. provincial governments received personal income tax revenue from Emery totaling $578,000 from 1999 to 2005, all of which was explicitly from the sale of marijuana seeds. It even said “marijuana seed vendor” on his tax returns. Also, when former MP Svend Robinson (then acting as the NDP health critic) asked Health Canada where medical marijuana patients could obtain seeds from, they told him to tell the patients that they could obtain seeds on the internet. Obviously, if the Canadian government was informed of Emery’s actions to the point of recommending medical marijuana patients obtain seeds on the internet (where Marc Emery Direct is one of the largest seed distribution companies in North America), then obviously it is not a crime to sell marijuana seeds in Canada. My question is now, why should a Canadian citizen be allowed to be extradited to a foreign nation to face a prison term for an action that is evidently not even a crime in our own country? In my opinion, if the Government of Canada allows Emery to be extradited to the United States, then that would be an infringement on Canada’s sovereignty and a slap in the face of all Canadians! this magic weed should be freely available to all those who search for a break in routine and a connection to themselves and the world at large. as an (almost) middle aged occasional pot user who has a hard time getting access to the stuff (due to the fact that people in my circle either hide their usage or don't use it at all) i believe that alcohol is a far more powerful and dangerous substance. life would be so much easier for me if i could just go to the local cannabis store and get my occasional ounce of magic...

Hi Mark, we met in your store one day when i came in to learn about hydroponics and you taught me a little about pro-mix. Ever sense then i've read up on soilless mix and your website and I am happy to see you are a very helpful man it seems to have in the fight to end cannabis prohibition. I am only 19 and am trying to learn and medicinal herbs and plants, especially cannabis as i use it almost spiritualy every day. I am proud to show support and i say it is a complete unjust of all our rights if your convicted of any crime. I too would love one day to open up my own compassion club and seedbank. I really respect people like you who are fighting the fight to end prohibition and get medical users the medicine they need. I almost guarantee we will meet again one day and hopefully you can get me through the growing process for the first time succesfully and we can smoke together one day, Untile then Peace and Pot. Three things cannot long be hidden the sun, the moon, and the truth. - Confucious In the five years that I have know Mark, I have found him to be a genuinely helpful, benevolent person. The sort of person who you can count on when you need help. And yes, Mark is passionate about a plant. Unfortunately for Mark, the United States government has deemed that same plant to be evil. But what’s really tragic, is Mark’s government has yet to find the courage to protect him, and other victims of America’s “war on SOME drugs”. If only Mark could muster up the same enthusiasm and passion that he has for cannabis, for mass manufactured pharmaceuticals. Then he could have the big corporations, and therefore the government, on his side. But Mark believes in, and understands freedom. For this reason, and it must be for this reason, because Canada would never arrest anyone for helping the sick (would they?), Mark is being persecuted. Medical Marijuana is a fact. Locking up Mark will not change this, nor will it prevent the sick from gaining access to their medicine. Lawmakers: Research the basis of our drug stance. Stand up to American intimidation. Refuse to participate in their wars. Abandon the U.S. war on marijuana. Face up to the truth. If you don’t, you will be to blame for turning our once great country into the moral cesspool that the U.S. has become. Peace, Michael

Dear Mark, Please accept this letter as a strong show of support from myself for your continuing efforts against the injustices of the anti-cannabis "laws". The constant stresses you face every day dealing with the courts are not easy by any means, but please know that your efforts are helping medicinal cannabis users like me (Crohn's Disease) and countless other suffering Canadian citizens. Cannabis helps so many people all over the world in countless measures, yet governments (including our own) continue to blindly legislate against this beautiful, helpful plant. Activists like yourself give people hope that one day they will be able to regulate their pain naturally and free from expensive prescription medications. I realize at times you must feel the burden of your chosen path in life, and I would not presume to attempt to trivialize your problems by offering shallow praise. Instead, I sincerely ask you to accept my deep gratitude for your ongoing battles against the Canadian courts to legalize what should have always been available to chronic pain sufferers: unbiased and easy access to a natural, safe plant that is an effective medicine to law-abiding, peaceful people across this great country. "You must be the change you want to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi Sincerely, Daniel

It's time to end this Witch Hunt! Prohibitionists are a Cult and Vampiric Menace for all. it's time to dismantle the projection of fear Spun out of a hate filled propaganda racket. I demand Tolerance, Respect and Compassion for all Cannabis users and their peaceful suppliers. Without shame I am proud to stand with Mark before our Courts and the media. Keneh Bosum, a substance identified by respected etymology, linguists anthropologists, botanists and other researchers as Cannabis, is one of the main ingredients of the ancient Christian anointing oil. Receiving this oil is what made Jesus the Christ and his followers Christian. The word 'Christ' means 'Anointed One' Jesus was Anointed as in the days of Moses with Cannabis. Those persecuting the Cannabis community could be considered the force of the Anti-Christ, let not our brothers and sisters sit with darkness any more. Let us shed our cloaks of fear to be Illuminated and join together May 7 for the Global Marijuana March and support those that are fighting our battle. and Remember, God Grows Pot! Mark, before you were arrested you freely gave me many varieties of Cannabis to sample for my crippling Arthritis. Together we found a Hawaiian Sativa that worked better than Cortisone injections and Vioxx, a true Blessing. We won my battle for a while then the Prohibitionists took my medicine away, and just like Blue Meanies they took your Shangri-La, your incarnated rite to work Gods gift. Thank you for quenching my pains, giving me mobility and being the friend you are. (I'll see you in court buddy!) To the Prohibitionists, it is also my incarnated rite to receive God's gift and your just a bunch of sheep louse Apple Bonkers out for a drunken power trip. How will your devil take care of you in court with the light of God? How will you be spiritually rewarded? maybe you'll turn to salt and the waters will wash you away. Peace and Good Doobies Benjamin from the village green preservation society (Toronto)
